is anybody disappointed with cod modern warfare 2?
i kinda am
why?
the main selling point has changed from single player to online. the main thing people are intrested about is the multiplayer. the single player campaing is also just an extension to modern warfare so it was never exspected to be a long campain

I was disapointed with the first Modern Warfare, completing the single player campaign on my first play through, however as the other guy points out COD Modern Warfare 1 was all about the online play. It simply elevated the idea of console based online warfare to another level (for most people) and for that reason the single player campaign in COD MW2 is undoubtedly going to be a secondary consideration for most people and the developers knew this when making the game. Its a shame but ultimately the single player is pretty much just the bread and butter grass roots structure of the game/engine that will run the mighty power house online matches.
It could be worse, there could be no single player campaign at all, developers could skip the single player completely and focus all their attention on releasing an online only game (aka Battlefield1943). So in a way its nice to have the single player, even if it is short, and experience a few warfare set pieces and gain some gamer score/achievements before heading online.
Ultimately you cannot please everyone and there will be some who feel the game is a disapointment and those people may just have exacting standards and are not so easily duped into believing a game is excellent just because its considered to be so by the commercial game market.
COD MW2 is great. Award worthy? Time will tell.
